The Hunter House across from the Ohio Grain Elevator on South Main Street, Mechanicsburg, Ohio, was built in 1850 by Dr. Obed Horr. It was purchased by Vincent Hunter, along with the farm on which it stood, in 1863. Five generations have lived here… It has 12 foot ceilings, 12 large rooms, and two stairways. It is listed as a historical home with “Ohio Family Farm Heritage.”
